A Brief History

Lieberman Photography, Inc. takes great pride in having served the photographic needs of the Metropolitan Detroit area over the past 32 years. The studio is owned and operated by Ron Lieberman.  Ron’s father Chuck, who retired in 1995, started the company in 1972.   Ron learned both the art and the business of photography by working closely with his father and also the highly respected photographer Leo Knight.

Located at 4312 Orchard Lake Road, just North of Lone Pine in West Bloomfield, Lieberman Photography is a full service studio offering a wide range of products and services.  With a staff of highly skilled photographers that are both personable and artistically creative, Lieberman Photography has earned the reputation of one of the best studios in the area. Ron Lieberman and his talented staff of photographers are in high demand. The areas leading event coordinators and hottest party venues including The Townsend Hotel and The Ritz Carlton frequently refer the studio. Lieberman Photography was voted favorite photographer multiple times over the recent past in The JN Source Book.

The studio caters to the needs of both the famous and the not so famous.  Some of Lieberman Photography’s more notable clients/subjects include: President Bill Clinton; Senator Debbie Stabenow; the late U.S. Ambassador to Norway, David Hermelin; and Consul General to Israeli, Ambassador Alon Pinkas.  Business and Community leaders include: Max Fisher, Eugene Applebaum and Florine Mark.  Sports and television personalities include: Naomi Judd; Morgan Fairchild; Former Red Wing goalies Chris Osgood and Greg Stefan; Former Pistons Cliff Robinson, Bill Lambier and Grant Hill; and local sports anchors Bernie Smilovitz, Don Shane and Mike Stone. When Tom Arnold was married in Dearborn, he selected Lieberman Photography as his official photographer.

Lieberman Photography provides many photographic services including candid coverage at weddings, bar mitzvahs, and birthday and anniversary parties.  Portraits are created both in the studio and on location of families, children, babies, high school seniors, first communions and executives. Mr. Lieberman is known for his critical eye and attention to detail along with his incredible memory.
